Savannah EllisMrs. Ellis joined the Fayetteville Band and Guard faculty in 2024. She previously taught in Siloam Springs, Arkansas after graduating from the University of Arkansas. Mrs. Ellis marched with the Razorback Marching Band Color Guard where she served as section leader, and also marched Avant Guard and Northwest Independent.
In addition to the Color Guard Program, Mrs. Ellis teaches the FHS Concert Band, Music Appreciation, and Adaptive Dance for students with special needs. |
Betsy O'ConnorMrs. O'Connor is in her 11th year as instructor for the FHS Guard. She is an alumni of Missouri State University and the University of Arkansas where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Sociology. Mrs. O is an alumni of National Avenue and the Pride of Missouri State Winter Guards. She was the co-founder of Avant Guard, and formerly the assistant coach of the University of Arkansas RMB Guard.

Angie PostMrs. Post has worked with the Fayetteville Guard programs since the Fall of 2015, and has been involved in the activity as a performer and instructor for over 20 years. She has previously worked with Rosemead HS, El Modena HS, Gladstone, HS, and West Covina HS, among others. She is a native of West Covina, California and previously marched with the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps and Corona Light Independent Winter Guard. In addition to her performance experience on the field and floor, Mrs. Post was featured as a McKinley High guard performer on the hit Fox TV Show, "Glee."

Leighann BushThis is Ms. Bush's first season with the Fayetteville HS Guard. A native of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Ms. B started her color guard career at Westside High School in 2017. She is a sophomore Hospitality Management major with a minor in Communications and Business at the University of Arkansas where she is also a member of the Razorback Marching Band Color Guard.

Malea ShoppachMs. Shoppach is the newest member of the Fayetteville HS Guard staff and joined during the 2023 Winter Season. She is from Bentonville, Arkansas and began spinning in 2017 with the Bentonville Jr. High Winter Guard. She is a first year Marketing major with a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Arkansas where she also is a member of the Razorback Marching Band Color Guard.

Chrystal O'BoyleMs. O'Boyle is a Fayetteville native, and a 2014 alumni of Fayetteville High School. She has worked with the program as an instructor and choreographer since 2016. Ms. O'Boyle holds a degree in Art Education from the University of Arkansas and is currently an Artist in Residence at the Pocosin Arts School of Fine Crafts in Columbia, North Carolina with plans to continue her education next year.
