Savannah EllisMs. Ellis joined the Fayetteville Band and Guard faculty in 2024. She previously taught in Siloam Springs, Arkansas after graduating from the University of Arkansas. Ms. Ellis marched with the Razorback Marching Band Color Guard where she served as section leader, and also marched Avant Winter Guard and Northwest Independent.
In addition to the Color Guard Program, Ms. Ellis teaches the FHS Concert Band, Music Appreciation, and Adaptive Dance for students with special needs. |
Betsy O'ConnorMrs. O'Connor is in her 12th year as instructor for the FHS Guard. She is an alumni of Missouri State University and the University of Arkansas where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Sociology. Mrs. O is an alumni of National Avenue and the Pride of Missouri State Winter Guards. She was the co-founder of Avant Guard, and formerly the assistant coach of the University of Arkansas RMB Guard.
Ms. O currently serves as Assistant Director of Programs for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences out of the Northwest Regional Campus. |
Chrystal O'BoyleMs. O'Boyle is a Fayetteville native, and a 2014 alumni of Fayetteville High School. She has worked with the program as an instructor and choreographer since 2016. Ms. O'Boyle holds a degree in Art Education from the University of Arkansas and is currently an Artist in Residence at the Pocosin Arts School of Fine Crafts in Columbia, North Carolina with plans to continue her education next year.

Leighann BushThis is Ms. Bush's fifth year with the Fayetteville HS Guard. A native of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Ms. B started her color guard career at Westside High School in 2017. She is a senior Hospitality Management major with a minor in Communications and Business at the University of Arkansas where she was also a member of the Razorback Marching Band Color Guard and the treasurer and a performer of Avant Guard.

Bailey SmithMs. Smith is entering her second year as a staff member for the FHS Guard. She is from Van Buren, Arkansas and began spinning with the Van Buren High School Marching Band and Winter Guard in 2020. She has also served as a staff member and choreographer for the Van Buren Color and Winter Guards. Ms. Smith is an Exercise Science major at the University of Arkansas, where she serves as section leader for the Razorback Marching Band Color Guard and performs with Avant Winter Guard.
